MARKETING COMMS LINK: Now, opinion is divided on this new Yellow Pages ad in the esPResso office. One person complained that the main character’s real name wouldn’t be ‘Day V Lately’, so that’s not the name he would give at the end, adding that it would have been funnier if he’d said “JR Hartley”. Another just complained that the genre of trance wasn’t really around in 1992.
But whatever, I like it. The Pages, now flogging their digital mobile phone directory widget, have updated one of their most famous adverts – the JR Hartley ads – and given it a more modern spin, presumably to represent the more modern product. See what you think here.
